Members, volunteers and donors make possible everything the Museum does, and are actively involved in all aspects of the Museum’s life. We are intentional in our work to provide unique opportunities to connect people, nature and art. 

  • - Carving classes and other hands-on creative programs for our community and local schools

  • - Exhibitions and programs making top-notch art accessible to the public and schools

  • - Showcases of creative work by local artists, students and members,

  • - Programs focuing on birds, nature and the environment

As a member of the Wendell Gilley Museum, you help to fund creative and inspiring exhibitions, educational programs, and outreach activities. The Museum, a non-profit organization, relies on dues and contributions for support. Volunteer

Volunteers are an integral part of the Wendell Gilley Museum. Our volunteers’ service is invaluable to making the Museum function smoothly, and to helping spread awareness of what the Museum has to offer. Volunteers work on a number of projects, from helping with carving classes and other creative programs to giving special tours to specific projects. A current exciting project is helping the Gilley to finish a complete catalog of its entire collection.
